I just bought a dual bowl master cylinder I just have a question about the plumbing. What king of adapters would I need? The dual bowl master cylinder has 1/4" fittings I have the original 3/16" brake lines. Where would I connect to split them? And what kind of fittings would I need?
Update I was able to plum lines dual master cylinder 1/4" to 3/16" oem.The only problem I see now is that the pedal is a lower than before I bleed the lines?
Has anyone needing to change pushrod for brake master cylinder?
The bolt that holds the MC rod to the brake pedal has an eccentric shoulder. You MAY be able to rotate that bolt and alter the pedal height if you haven't already tried that....
Thank you I will try that.
Most of my MC upgrades required a 'custom' rod. I always made them adjustable.
I installed a dual bowl master cylinder Part# MC36222 recommended to bolt right up and it did. I may need to buy the custom rod mentioned above. I see on-line options to buy universal master cylinder push rod max length 7.5". Does anyone know if this would be long enough? Or if anyone has upgraded to a dual bowl master cylinder?
ok, who made or sold the MC36222?, thanks jerry

Yes, there was an old posting about upgrading to a dual bowl master cylinder. Posting said it was a direct install using existing brake pedal pushrod.

I just installed a dual master cylinder on mine and used a 68 fairlane drum brake from Rock Auto. It bolted right on and I used the original rod. It came with two new ones but they were too short. I haven't plumbed it yet though.
Update! I bleed whole system and Tires I still feel the pedal sightly lower than original. I'm gone try changing out to an adjustable pushrod a see what happens.
Just a heads up I had to install an adjustable pushrod for brake pedal in order to compensate for wear or dual reservoir master cylinder.
