I'm almost finished with my Ranchero and have the paint done, the chrome bumpers done and the side trim all polished and ready to go, BUT, I do NOT have the trim clips for both doors and the trim clips for the quarter panels... I have tried to find this stuff everywhere I can think of and no one has what I need.
Is there anyone on here that knows where I can buy this stuff or has this stuff for sale?
I have both front fender trim clips and they look glorious but the rest of the trim is sitting in the bed waiting patiently for the clips to come and have them installed so we can DRIVE this thing!!! HELP!!!!
I don't know if your door panels are on but again just use universal clips with threaded studs, a body and paint store should have them.
ditto....paint shop is where I got mine. I don't know about the Ranchero clips, but on the Customs, a square hole indicated the position for a push-in clip, whereas the round holes were for the threaded clips. I think the push-ins were used in locations where the back of the clip was not accessible to get at the nut/washer.

They do and they work perfect!
Here the place I used. They have a catalog you can print and the part will be to scale. https://www.mrgusa.com/
I would have to check. But most clips are pop-in springs and you can use the bolt in on the ends.
He had both sizes for the upper and lower side trims on my hardtop. The I for a couple of the spring loaded bolts to keep the ends on.
WOW! I never thought I would see this many people responding to my issue!!!! GOD BLESS you all, I'm looking into ALL OF THESE options and think you have SAVED this old guys build!!!!!
also, Restoration Speciaties in Windber,Pa. they have a good selection of trim clips.will also try to match if you have a sample. found mine for 58 edsel wagon, although did take a couple of tries!!
Restoration Specialties is a fantastic supplier of small parts for old cars. That's who I used. I found them years ago on this forum, their print catalog is like a trip to the past...
dmKberger hi. Where (if you found) did you get them? Going to need them also.
This is where I got the clips for the door trim. They are threaded rods with trimable metal which can be made to fit however you want them to fit. I used these and they worked like a charm. I have a few extras if you're interested. Let me know and we can get together on this. I'm pretty sure I have like 14 of them left. They fit the door trim on the Ranchero like they were made for it. How would $11.00 sound to you? Plus shipping to your address... Lemme know, Thanks
