Title: Power Brake Upgrade for 1965 Ranchero
Post by: amosfuegel on 2025-07-23 21:03
Hi, I am considering a power brake upgrade for my 1965 Ranchero. It has been upgraded with Granada spindles, front disc brakes and dual master cylinders. Has anyone used a Master Power Brakes kit? They seem to have a complete and reputable kit.

In the Technical Section there is a section on power brake boosters. It seemed to me that because of space issues that a lot of the boosters are too small to work well, (seen some complaints). You may have a similar issue in a '65, don't really know. The original brake booster on a '57 was under the dash!. I went with a modern Hydro-Boost setup but you need power steering for that...

Welcome to the forum!

Tomsclassics shows a booster but with the single jar.  https://ebay.us/m/PRmA5f

I have two cars with the original single jar.  No issues.  Adding power would just make it easier to press.
