Title: wiper motor replacement
Post by: glenmichael on 2025-09-08 08:31
Hello Everyone, I was out visiting a friend for a few liquid refreshments when it started to get dark, so I decided to head home but it wasn't lack of sun but a dark rain cloud! How many out there has driven with your head out the window due to no working windshield wipers?? Found this at the Auto swap meet yesterday, supposed to be a working 1957 chevy electric wiper motor. I hope it's the answer to fix the wiper problem does it look right??IMG_2296.jpgIMG_2294.jpg

NO.  Correct one has same type of flat drive bar as a Ford vacuum motor.

Seeing where you are going is way overrated.  I've driven many miles looking through the rain drops. PICs...Less than half way through the week on the Back To The Bricks 2024 Tour, the wiper fell off.  Fortunately my window was down and I caught the wiper as it went by!  I didn't have turn around and get wet picking it out of the road.

Thanks, once I got home it didn't look correct, I guess I got caught up in the moment not the first time, I'll keep looking and try to keep my 57 driving to Sunny days!!!
