Title: Spare tire size to fit in Wagon spare tire well.
Post by: MrArt2u on 2014-09-15 12:10
Hello All,

Our wagon came with a FULL SIZE spare, like from a lifted Explorer or other light truck. It doesn't fit in the well at all. We are running 15" wheels. What size tire do you have on a 15" that fits in that well?

I'm not opposed to a donut spare if it means we can stash more stuff in there. Anyone running a donut?

Cheers,
Art.

Space saver fits in mine.  Same problem...full size spare did not fit.

I have had a 215-65-15 in there, the wagon and ranchero should be the same. Now I carry a Lincoln doughnut spare, its on an aluminum wheel, and its taller than most little spares,   Mark

Cobra Mustang Spares work great.   They are lightweight aluminum, fit over up to 13" brakes, tall enough to drive semewhere.  Late model non-cobra models may have aluminum ones too.

Bringing this one up again. I need to get a spare tire for our 57 Wagon. Any new ideas what I should search for. Which late(r) model Mustangs will work ? SN95s up to 2004 ? or ?

Thanx !
