Title: Power Booster Mod
Post by: Raven Rider on 2017-01-03 12:03
Can some please post the procedure to modify the power booster round eye to accept the threaded adjusting rod. I have read many posts on cutting the rod then treading the end but my power booster does not have a round bar.  a picture or two would help and a few words on what how you cut the threads size of threaded all tread etc thanks

Don't have as many pics as what I thought when we talked, but here's what I've got...

Jerry, I do believe I welded a cut off bolt to the booster's shaft with the same threads as the internal thread on the eyelet hex shaft. I had talked about drilling a hex connector nut out on one end to fit the shaft, and welding that on, but that nut would have interfered with the rod entering the booster as the pedal was depressed.....I believe I determined I needed the extra length of the added threaded bolt/shaft to get the nut some distance from the booster.
I think in retrospect, I'd at least give a hard look at what Canadian Ranchero and others have done to modify the pedal assembly instead.

Don't know where I got the adjustable rod kit...ebay probably, since I had a pic of it that wasn't mine.
