Wondering if a 3-2v FE oval air cleaner will clear the hood latch. Looks like it is really close. Someone here must have done this? TIA

I put a 406 3x2 setup on a 428 in 1967 and the aircleaner fit. I have heard others have some issues and I am not sure why that would be the case. I have a 462 FE in my Custom now but I am using a Blue Thunder 4V intake.

I also had a factory FE 3x2 setup on my 57 Sedan Delivery many years ago,the oval air cleaner clear the hood latch as well as the hoods hook, without modification.
