Title: instrument panel
Post by: 57imposter on 2018-06-13 12:52
Changing gauges and needed a new instrument panel for Autometer gauges. I found the correct one from Boese Engineering. After some modifications i installed it into the stock instrument housing and test fitted it in the car. It was then I discovered the original bezel measures
15 3/16" wide while the Boese panel measures 14 3/4". This leaves a portion tf the dash that was never intended to be seen. Just a heads up if your thinking of going that way.

First I've heard of the Boese panel..................I need to add it to our suppiers list. When you were looking for a panel, I thought maybe you were doing a Dakota Digital panel.
Just an idea, if worse comes to worse you might see how a short strip of LED lighting looks. May be tacky looking, maybe cool. I've never used it, but I will down the road for some under the dash lighting. I do believe that stuff can just be cut to the length you need
