Speedo

Hi all out there, I have just finished restoring my 57 Skyliner, rebuilt the 312 motor and fordomatic transmission, For some reason my speedo run backwards,do not know if it worked before, the rebuild.
Any ideas out there, what have I done wrong.

   The only way the speedometer can run backwards is the wrong drive or driven gear. I bought a 55 Vicky in the 70's that went backwards don't remember how I fixed it.

If the transmission was rebuilt the steel gear that drives the speedometer cable plastic gear was put in backwards.
