replacement mount for dimmer switch...

does anyone sell these?  there is a shop I've used in Houston to do aluminum work for me in the past and I'm thinking they could produce an aluminum version of this part for me... mine was somewhat rusted out, but in good enough shape for an example in producing a new one...

anyone have any ideas about whether this would be a useful item for our cars?  also, I wonder if this part would be the same size/shape for other 50's Fords, such as 55,56 58, 59...

do I have an idea here worth researching?
