At our house we have a tradition we call the "Easter Miracle" on saturday my grandaughter plants jelly beans in the flower beds. And on Easter morning she harvests a crop of lollypops. It really blew her away the first couple years now its pretty much working grandpa for all its worth.  If you do this be sure that you explain it only works on Easter or you'll be planting jelly beans all the time.
