If anyone is thinking of doing the old Route 66 trip, I live 2 blocks off old route 66 in Amarillo, Texas near the historic district. Would love to meet fellow 57 owners for coffee or a hamburger in one of the old 66 restaurants.

Wish I'd have know that last year around October!  Bought a 61 Unibody off the HAMB, moved it to my daughter's place at Rosamond, CA from Pomona, made it road worthy, flew the wife out and did the RT 66 thing from CA through OK.  Finished the trip up on I-40.  Stopped at many of the significant places along the way.  Stayed at the Wig Wam, did the Canyon, did Oatman (once in a life time drive!), the Petrified Forest and many little side trips.

I just did the Seigman to Kingman Route 66 run last weekend. It was a blast. Your stretch of Route 66 would be a little too far for me though.
