update on noise

on my post about a noise that i can't find,    i went over to a friend of mine thats really sharp on problems with cars,    getting in the car it started right up but within 1/2 a block it starts to sputter and dies out,  luckely i could pull into a tire business parking lot,   we check a few things and its getting spark and we check the fuel pump,  and no gas,   i'm hoping that this has been the problem all along,   the fuel pump was going!!!!!!!!,   but then i won't find out until i replace it,  which i'll do in the morning,    had to have it flat;bed towed home,     anyway i'll let u know if all works out,    jerry

Check the fuel filter first, pumps usually don't give warning their going to quit.
