Which Transmission Fluid?

I have the 3 speed fordomatic.......I beleive they origionally took Type A, but what fluid do you guys run in your auto trannys?

  Type A. It's still available at most parts stores in Vancouver.

Not having much luck here in Ohio. Found one at the local parts store, but it's a generic brand.

  Read some of the labels on the atf containers, some may be compatible or replace type A fluid.
I'm suprised you can't get type A fluid , chevys used that stuff all through the 70's and 80's.

I'd run type F if it was mine.

type F has a higher co-efficient of friction than type A.may make the trans shift a little harder
