RICH MUISE

Woody, I used similar products when I first started working on my 57. Any product that treats rust or removes rust can't be bad...it's what you do to keep it from rusting again after you've treated it that's important. What I found with products like evapo-rust that require submersion is that there just aren't that many parts small enough to submerse without spending an arm and a leg for large quantities, and for small parts in particular sandblasting will do the same thing as well as give you a great surface finish for por-15 or primer.
money saving sandblasting tip: If you are going to use sand for blasting as opposed to other media, don't buy it at your tool supply store...many construction/building supply stores carry it in different grits, 100# bags, for about 12 or 13 bucks the last time I bought it. I use a #4 grit.
I can do this, I can do this, I, well, maybe
