Floor shifter question....

I'm wanting to put a floor shift in my 57 Custom 300. It currently has a 272 with a/t and a stock column shift. Does anyone build a floor shift for the Fordamatic? Is the Fordamatic the same as a FMX? Lokar does make a shifter for the FMX, but I can find nothing listed anywhere for the Fordamatic.

the fmx is based on the cruse o matic,i think the ford o matic is similar

Get one from an early Mustang. There are other models like
it I'm sure. Cheap and strong and are Ford.
