I think I will be replacing my PC with a new laptop.  Trying to downsize...my PC will find a new home inmy new garage, with a new wireless ethernet card of course...

James make sure you pass word protect access to the wireless!  Article in yesterdays paper about the FBI and cops arresting a fellow for down loading and distributing child porn, turns out it was his next door slim ball using his open unprotected router!

My grandson discovered his next door neighbor's wireless after being barred from my daughters!  Funny part is he could only get it in one corner of the house.  She wondered why he was hanging out in a wierd place.......

James, A laptop does not have a life expectancy as long as a PC, something to think about when buying a computer.

I password protect and encrypt all wireless.  Ive heard of that kind of wireless hitch hiking, bad mojo.  I also am aware of the life expectancy issues, but Ive had my toshiba laptop for about 3 years now, and though a bit outdated, still works well.   Its only a2.8 ghz with 1.5 gig of RAM, but gets the job done.  The only tjing I hate aboutit, is windows vista....I hate it.  I tried to do a dual boot with XP Pro, but it wont let you as it is an older OS.  The only reason I wont reformat and load XP on it is that it has adobe CS on it, about $1500 worth of software, and I dont have backup disks for it.  I guess I'll suffer along with vista until I get a new laptop with windows 7 on it.
