Over the last several years I've been selling my collection of NOS and used 1957 Ford parts on eBay but eBay's and Paypal fees have gotten so expensive that in order to just brake even I have to ask well over market price for my parts. I've gone from selling 70% of the parts I list to about 20%, is there another on-line auction that you would recommend?

Mark

Why not post your parts here first ???

Lou

Frankly, because I've gotten very little responce from my ads here and many items that I have I don't know what their true value is, by using an auction the auction will set the value. If your on an auction sight that has 3 million viewers and you have a one in a million item, you have 3 bids. Case in point, I had several nos door panels for fairlane & a fairlane 500 listed them here no responce, put them on ebay and had several people bid on each.

Lou..the only other one I've even heard of is Craigslist. Never used it, buying or selling...just broused a few times.
I can do this, I can do this, I, well, maybe

I've had good luck both buying and selling on craigslist....free, no fees.  Problem is though, it's much more localized, and I dont ship.  I almost always tell the buyer I will meet him or her somewhere, rather than having them pick up the part here.  I just dont want strangers checking things out and coming home later to an empty garage, you know what I mean?

Craigslist has not been nearly as kind to me.....I have a stack of "cashiers" checks from various people that wanted me to cash them and send the balance back to them and the purchased item would be picked up by their "representative".  Every item I have listed there has had that kind of response.  Most of my stuff goes here or the HAMB, but then again most my stuff is junk to the average guy....thought....maybe that's why it moves so well on that "traditional hot rod" site..... :003:
