Granada brakes and stock rims

On one of the early mustang boards I read a discussion where " Granada rotors can be taken to a machine shop and the outer diameter of the hubs can be reduced by aout 1/8". This will allow them to fit standard stock steel wheels."

Would this work to fit the 57 ford rims on these rotors?

If nobody here as a definite answer, I'd give Dave at Drop n' stop a call. He's always been a very helpful resource. My gut feeling is telling me "NO", because , and it's just a guess, if it were that simple, Dave would be offering that service, instead of telling customers it won't work with the oem rims. On the other hand, I believe it was him who said the oem rims could be used if the center hole was opened up...kinda the same results aproached a different way I would think.
I can do this, I can do this, I, well, maybe

It sounds like several of the Mustang people have gone this route.  I have no idea if our rims are simular to the Mustang rims though. http://www.stangnet.com/mustang-forums/threads/65-styled-steel-wheels-on-granada-disc-setup.791068/

The caliper and the horns hit long before the rotor.

Will the 14" Mustang rims fit in the 57s then?

Don't know.  have to try them.  I've run 14" aftermarket aluminum wheels with no clearance issues on Granada spindles and brakes.

I have the drop n stop disc brake system on my Ranchero.  Granada rotors with  Chevy Cavalier calipers.  The 14" wheels are from a 1975-78 Granada or Mercury Monarch.  The 14" 57 Ford wheels will not fit.  The calipers rub.
