Hi Skool Hairy

All the turnpike skirts I have seen do not have the small indention for wheel well cut out, most are just flush on the bottom running front to rear. These are apparently factory NOS, are these any different than others, that are shaped differently and are the wheel well openings in the same place and same lenght for a mercury turnpike as a Ford Fairlane 500? Thanks for any help

Hi Skool Hairy

I have found out that 1957-58 Mercury cruiser skirts flush sided 60" x 14" wide & tapering to about 11" will fit fine on a 1957 Ford. The newer Cruiser skirts from a 1959 Mercury that have the small indention cut out for the wheel, will not fit without extensive modification. They do look good & the chrome/stainless trim is wider & matches the 57 bumper nicely But, the modifications would be the costs of the skirts again, and for some reason their is very little clearance between the skirt latching mechanism and the wheel, tire, or hubcap, which would also have to be modified.
