Hello! Can anyone tell me what the original 292 engine colors were in the 1957 Ford Fairlane? Possible made in Canada, I'm not sure
of that, though.  The paint now is a light green.
Any information is appreciated so much!
Thanks, Arnold.

VIN is different on Canada built vehicles.  The VIN tag even says Canada on it.

Dont know about a Canadian vehicle but I remember my parents 56 Ford & 57 Ranch Wg. were both orange.

when did they go to the Ford blue? Also it got me to wondering how guys that color coordinate their engine to body colors do it. I am assuming a paint shop can mix corors in the hi-temp paint??
I can do this, I can do this, I, well, maybe

For Project 302, I went with Dupli-Color Engine Enamel labeled "DE 1605 Ford Red".

When we decided to change the heads stock iron to Edelbrock Aluminum, I didn't paint them.

Resto-modded to my own taste.

For an extra touch, I found a 50s Ford Crest hat pin for $8 and JB Welded it to the oil filler cap. I would have loved to use the Ford Crest Emblem that goes on a fender, but way too pricey at this time to get the metal frame and plastic insert...perfect size, but too much.
