Speedometer cable vendor?

Hey Guys...

The local speedo shop that was in this area for decades is now gone...dang...nice guy who would have been able to help me my fuel gauge, too. I had talked to him a few years ago.

Any of you have a good place to get a speedo cable for my 57 Ford wagon with a C4 tranny? (I didn't see any threads that previously talked about this)

During my engine swap, my speedo cable that went from the Chevy TH350 to the speedo went missing. That old shop made the cable for me.

Thanks!
Rob

NAPA is your friend, they should be able to make you a completely new custom length cable and housing.

Rob a stock 57 speedometer cable should plug in and work.  Just a matter of getting the right color (gear ratio).

Off the shelf speedo cable from any major parts store for a mid sixties Ford Truck.   It would have the correct ends and be plenty long and cheap.   I bought one last year for one of ours at Oreallies and it was in stock.

The gears can be picked up from the Early Mustang Parts Sources.

I'm running a 351W and C4 in my ranchero, and I am using a speedo cable for a 64 Falcon it has the right thread to fit the original speedo and fits the C4 its also the right length . I got it at napa part #BK6151644

I have the stock 57 cable in my Ranchero, it plugged right into the 351C/AOD combo.

Now the question is...

Which gear to use?
