Seeing Jeff Norwell's cool graphic "cartoon" of the badass '57 Ford Custom, I always loved that stuff and it got me searching.

I found these George Trosley pieces on his Facebook site...

Now if I can just find a radical 57 Ford Country Sedan!

Ken is a great dude and a friend...... I did a piece for him a while back..... We talk ever so often.. he has plans for a new 57  and when we last spoke he wanted some more work.

Both awesome renderings Jeff.

Ford Blue blood

They (SRM) did a low budget "T" build....$17K.....I tell folks that complain about the 48 and earlier going away at most rod runs that todays motor heads are the same as we used to be.  They build and drive what they can afford...in their case it happens to be rice burners.  I have maintained for a long time you can't say Hot/Street Rod/Muscle/Classic car in the same sentance with $10K.  Not a problem building a nice ricer!  Looks like the future of the hobby is leaning on the import side of things as we"silver" up and die off!

x2  It was about scraping together some junk to make it move and maybe stop.  If I could have afforded a new car, I probably would have bought a new one.  Oh, I did!!  And before I got it home the first time, I had the air cleaner off.

Love those pieces of artwork, Jeff!

So tempted to commission some for my 'wagon at some point when cash is flowing more later in the year.

Very cool, Jeff!

I have been looking at your web site and George Trosely's...I just love that work. Are your commissions along the lines of George's that I see on his site? (so I can budget) It takes me back when my friends and I were trying to draw cars like this in 6th grade thru high school.

I am back to collecting Rat Fink t-shirts...my Mom hated them. At 55, still playing in a rock band and trying to stay 16. The wagon has been another wonderful find that makes people smile...especially the ladies in their late 60s and 70s who had some "experiences" in these...very fun to watch them whisper in each other's ears with a *sparkle*. Then when I ask what they were whispering about as their husbands are looking at the Cobras and Corvettes..."Oh, we can't tell you that!" or, "My son was conceived in the back of one of these..."

Cheers!
Rob

Jeff...

It would also be fun to have a rendering of my family with the motorhome...it does have a nice stance...
