57 Fairlane heater control question

Howdy folks!!!!! Been helping my father in law put together his Fairlane. We got the heater controls that go into the dash......however.....I can't seem to figure out how they are mounted into the dash. I'm sure we're missing something, like a plate or whatever that goes behind the dash. Anyone know what this missing link looks like? If I knew what we were missing, I know I can make it. Thanks!

This picture shows the bracket on the back of the control unit.  You need two of these.  They are not too complicated, you could likely make a pair yourself.
