The wagon I had (6 banger originally) had both sides and the Edsel does as well even though it is single exhaust.

Same with my oem 6 cyl...heat shields on both sides. That's why I couldn't figure out how Gary knew it was a dual exhaust.

My car is a factory "D" code car so I would guess that it exited the factory with dual exhaust.
