Hi to all, Just thought I would drop in and introduce myself before posting alot of questions. I am a 57 Ford fanatic and live in the great white north (canada). I presently have a 57 Ford (meteor) 2 dr hardtop (needs resto), A del Rio (now a parts car)and a Ranch Wagon that I hope to be driving this spring. The funny thing about the Ranch Wagon is that I found it only 3 miles from my house and I have driven by this farm weekly for the past 40 years. When I found the car it had been parked since 1972 and the only thing that I could find missing on the whole car was the battery and the ignition keys. Hopefully with some info from the experienced members on this site I will be able to get the Ranch Wagon back on the road where it should be.

Thanks
Gil

Swamprattler:

Welcome aboard.  The Ranchwagon is one of my favorites, as my folks bought one new in 1957 when I was in the 8th grade.  Loved throwing newspapers from the back when it was raining.  I couldn't believe it when they screwed -up and traded it in on a 59 Rambler, what a disgrace.  Anyway, there are a lot of station wagon (Ranch, Del Rio, Country Sedan & Country Squire) owners who will gladly share information, parts and stories.  Looking forward to hearing about the progress on your restoration and getting it back on the road.

Gil, that looks fairly solid for the great white north, do they use much road salt up there? Mark
