The chance that the vibration brackets will bend a fender are remote at best.  They bolt to the valance/inner deflector. The front sheet metal is designed to flex side to side with the pivot point being under the radiator. The trucks have a different mounting system that is harder on fenders.

Dug mine out.  They are definitely home made...3/16x1-3/4 flat stock.  Thirty degree +/- bends on the ends.

     Are the bends on the end in the same direction or opposite directions?
