Thanks for the response,I was only bringing up the 65 galaxie because I found seats and console for sale in perfect condition and thought if they were just like yours i should grab them.

I am definitally plan to use some type of slider or bracket under the seat. I am just not sure the floor sheet metal by it self is enough to support the bracket and seat. I have seen guys weld in extra plates to help hold eveything down better. My objective is to get the seats as low as possible so i can get my fat gut behind the steering wheel.

Gasman is right, if you just bolted them to the floor it will feel like you are buckling the floor every time you move in the seat!

VW.....I forget what they call this stuff...unistrut I think. Electrical dept. at Lowe's/home depot. cheap, versatile, assorted hardware and brackets available, rugged, did I mention cheap?
I didn't mention not pretty...I still have to make some covers for them.
and I forgot to mention the channel is available in an even shorter height. If you needed more height, you could stack two, bolting and welding together. This is the stuff they use to hang heavy overhead stuff off the rafters..air conditioning, heaters, etc. Heavy gauge channel, most of the hardware is 1/4" steel.
I can do this, I can do this, I, well, maybe

The 65 seats are the same , the console is different , it's more sleek  but it would still work and look good. The seats from 64 thru 66 are the same shell from a Tbird or a Galaxie . The 67 - 69 are similar but the backs are a little taller, if you can buy them at a good price I would do it. In the LA area you can pick up good core seats (need reupholstery) for around $100.00 a pair, and some may be power. I picked up my power driver seat for $65.00 and it works and almost looked new.

Thanks for correcting me on that, I was thinking console change, but the seats for some reason never crossed my mine in my response.

better lucky than good has worked again. Didn't realize how much there is to know about tri powers. I have correct float bowls, metering blocks, carb bodies. Center bowl float level hole is higher than other two. End carb main bodies airhorn not drilled for choke shaft. End carbs metering blocks have no provision for power valves. Been searching for info for hours. Funny thing is you couldn't make me study in school and yet I spend hours researching car stuff. It also appears that there is no ported vacuum. All the holes and passages are there but one. The base plate is not drilled. Looks like those plugs and fittings aren't doing much.

62galaxie - it is a great thing that high schools are now realizing (at least in California), that students learn better when their academic studies are linked to their potential career interest. For many of these kids the light bulb has turned on and they now recognize the relevancy of why math, reading, writing, science, social studies are important in every career field.  In the school district that I retired from, they have adopted "Linked Learning" (a blend of academic and career tech ed) and it is really paying dividends in the way of better test scores, higher graduation rates, and students that are prepared for both college and/or a career.
