Hi folks, not posted for a few weeks, work, weather, working on the Ranchero and 101 jobs to do round the house has left zero free time, still, things seem to be calming down a bit now.

As some know, it rains over here, sometimes quite a lot, in between the showers it's usually cold, erm, and wet.....  Anyway, all of this, along with salt on the roads in winter kills off cars that aren't rust proofed.  Back in the 50's & 60's there was quite a lot of US machinery over here, some bought over by the US Servicemen and some sold new through various dealers (a few models were even available in RHD).

The link below is for a 58 Thunderbird sold here new and is a prime example of old car + British weather.  No, I won't bid, I don't have enough welding wire, but I've seen worse go for a lot more on US EBay!

Off topic but I watched a show on tv the other night about the discovery of king Richard III 's grave. He was burried under a parking lot and I believe it was in your town !
Silly to bring up but that sort of thing fascinates me.
England is rich with history.

Yep, he was discovered in the City of Leicester, about 12 miles from my town of Ashby de la Zouch (over here the major Cities have districts similar to your states, but smaller that include several smaller towns).

You're right, England really is full of history, there's so much more to it than London, Loch Ness and Stratford (Shakespeares birthplace)!  We always take our vacations in the UK (including Scotland and Wale) and we still haven't seen it all/got bored yet.

That's a good decision to pass on that 58 Bird.  Keep your mind in focus on the project that you are working on.
As much as we would like to , we can't fix all of them.
