Got a silly question,What size, length, nut and bolt size are used on the leaf spring to body mount on a 57?(the front ones)
I have a spring kit with the rear bolts, shackles, etc, etc, but Someone(at some point in this cars life) just used a long bolt to hold the springs/rear end in place.
Looking to get the proper hardware.
thanks!

Jeff...that's all I've got on mine..just a long bolt. I haven't disassembled the oem setup yet, I would expect that long bolt would have to be to be a shoulder bolt to function properly so that it could be tightened without putting restraint on the spring/sleeve bushing (unless the sleeve is longer than the width of the spring)
I'm just rambling...I don't know for sure.

When I took my wagon apart found that the driver side forward spring bolt didn't have a nut on it ! Looked like it had been that way for years, it stayed put though. Put some grade 5 shouldered bolts with nyloc nuts on them when I reassembled it.
