Finishing a project

We all know that available parts are becoming more and more inferior and original parts are getting harder and harder to find. It's not just our 57's but the automotive hobby in general. I really feel for the younger guys and gals involved in our hobby and how it is just going to get harder and harder to build the older cars. With that said all of this makes me extremely appreciative of my cars as I get them finished. While I had my Custom 300 apart to fix the heater core I also replaced my stock 460 intake manifold. Normally I would go with one of the Edelbrock manifolds as I tend to be a creature of habit, but a buddy suggested I try using Weiand's Stealth manifold which I did. Now that the car is back on the road it is like a new car . . . a really bad ass new car. The 460 came alive and sounds incredible. I can smoke the tires off the line and break them loose when it shifts to second. What a rush. This weekend I will put the chrome tube grille in the car and my Custom 300 will be finished. Now I can focus my energy on finishing my Ranchero. Like everyone in this forum I love this hobby . . . and one of the best perks is that it keeps me young.

sounds like the manifold made a heck of a difference. We need pics...esp. when you get the new grille installed!
I can do this, I can do this, I, well, maybe

The Stealth manifolds play well with the 460.  Dual plane amplifies the torque potential and they are fairly inexpensive.
