Avatar problem

I can't seem to get my avatar to load. I browse to my computer and upload a picture, and save and says it's too big. It's a tiny file. Help!

How big is the file? My avatars are in the range of 19-20kb. Btw, you want to make sure when downsize a photo for something as small as an avatar not to "save" the new size, but to "save as" with a new name. That way it doesn't permanently reduce the original, just creates a new image file. I have a folder just for avatars.
If you need help on resizing, let us know.

Thanks Rich, it worked.   I just thought I had a small file, man this is really small.
