Passing of a legend --- Gordie Howe passed today.

I watched some of the tribute to Gordie Howe this morning on CBC, and one of the things I heard them say was "There is no Mr. Basketball, Mr. Football, or Mr. Golf, but ------
Rest in peace Mr. Hockey.
And, I had no idea that the reason "The Great One", Wayne Gretzky, who called Gordie Howe the greatest hockey player of all time, wore two number nines on his jersey, (99) was in tribute to number nine for the Detroit Red Wings, Gordie Howe.  Wayne's boyhood hero.

The Gordie Howe hat trick, a goal, an assist and a fight. The guy was tough and could go toe to toe with anybody.
