Divider bar

 I was able to find exact replacement divider bar for a custom since the usual souses only seem to offer for the Fairlane. the wind wing/ divider bar assemblies are all riveted together so my question is, has anyone figured out how to re rivet them back together. i tried dropping a small piece of 3/16 brake line over the pop rivet pin but there was not enough rivet pin left sticking out for the gun jaws to grab. kinda stumped, for now, and hope someone has it worked out..

I did a lengthy post on this way back when..let me see if I can find it. Basically I used a transfer punch in a drill press with the lower side (rivet head) sitting on a 1/4" parrallel bar. The transfer punches have that nice conical shape to the point that rolled the rivet over nicely. I did have to grind some of the point off , so pick an odd size punch from the set that can be sacrificed.
