Now I wasn't a huge fan of his work (I preferred his later music from the mid 80's onwards) but in today's era of "manufactured" pop groups, the likes of David Bowie were music geniuses in my opinion.  He only issued a new album last week.

Saw him in the mid-70s, great performer.  His music will live on forever.

I liked alot of his stuff. We also lost Natalie Cole this week.....I guess it's showing my age when I can say I remember her dad very well.

A what appeared to be a very odd but extremely talented musician. Left a great body of work behind for us to enjoy.

Just about sums it up nicely!  When he went through his "Ziggy Stardust" phase he peaked with the "oddness", but all of his music was well written by someone who was passionate about what he did.
