Using 14" hubcaps on 15" wheels

I have a friend who is into 58 Fords and likes to keep the original look. Since he really wants to run 15" tires for obvious reasons, I came up with this idea. I cut off the section of the rim that the hub cap actually attaches to. Then cut off the outer lip. This ring fits neatly inside the 15" rim and can be easily welded on. Once cleaned up and painted, I think it would be hardly noticeable. Wish I had a stock 15" rim to do a finish picture bit all I have is my trailer spares.
