ECZ-G.  The "G" means the "GOOD" heads.  Identification is cast under the intake/water ports and can be seen with the heads on the motor if you know where to look.

You can go to John Mummert's website, FordY, and look at ways to identify Y-Block Parts.  Ted Eaton's, Eaton Balancing, is another great site.

YBlocksforeverForum is excellent for information.

The Best "G" heads are "Posted".   You can stick your pinkie in through a water passage on the gasket surface and feel the post.

The Posted heads have a slightly different size ECZ-G font.  Seems like the font is smaller on the Posted heads.

I collect ECZ-G, 113's(almost same as G's but wih posts), and 471's(low compression blower heads).

The other Y-Block parts that are important to save are:  292 Blocks, 312 Cranks, Passenger car Oil Pans, Std Pass Car Bellhousings & Lower Covers, and Pass Car & Bird Oil Pans.

I see that John Mummert is offering rods to offset grind a 292 crank and make any 292 a true 312.  Always add cubes when you can, it makes a big difference.
