Health issues

I was checking out the for sale section for any useful stuff when I came across Boswell selling his super nice Ranchero. It's sold. What caught my attention was his health issue. I hope your ailment is treatable. Over 10 years ago, I too was victim to heart disease. Coronary artery disease.I'm in and out of a specialist hospital in Austin ,Tx. The surgeon told me that he gave me 10 more years of life. That was 10 years and 2 months ago.Every day is a gift, to any of us, but particularly to those afflicted with some life threatening issue. I intend to go from a head wound , from a jealous husband when I am 90 years old. Not really, I'm no home wrecker .My point is , to not treat it as if the end is any closer than it ever was intended to be , from a greater power .Enjoy life , and enjoy that rod you drive. I'll take heart disease over cancer any day. Every day is a good day. Hope you get better soon.

Thanks for the thoughts JJF. Actually I'm doing very well. The congestive heart failure condition doesn't have a valve or bypass option so I just take the best care of myself that I can, enjoy my family, my friends and my hobby and with any luck I'll live to be 90. I wasn't ready to retire but I'm finding that the freedom offered by retirement has really helped me have a positive attitude to live everyday to it's fullest . . . and if it all ended tomorrow I wouldn't have any regrets.

I think I was a lucky one. I was forced into retirement by this, but at least I had a retirement plan. Take care.

Bos...what part of the country did your Ranchero head off to? ...remember last year I ran into the Custom and it's new owner you sold before the Ranchero to a guy in Phoenix.

Rich . . . The Ranchero stayed in Oregon but thankfully it went down south so I don't have to see it all the time at local car events. The owner seems to really like it. He called and talked to the shop that did most of my work and said he can't believe how detailed and dependable it is . . . which seems odd to me because I build all my cars so I can hop in them and drive anywhere. He has plans to pump it back up and take it to the drags.
