i've done it a couple of times once on a 55 chevy and once on a 56 plymouth. first thing ya need to now is how much wider you need. if it isn't to much less then 2 inches , ya might be better off tring to get an off set rim to set the tires inboard, problem is 57 fords weren't made for alot of tire in our lil wheel wells. and a big can of worms get opened up when ya start having to move spring mounts and perches narrowing frame rails , and rear end housings. short story is i used the old tubs and added a strip in the middle .

Hi Slowpoke,
This is my website where I have pics ( more available just not on site) I have been meaning to update just can't get to it lately.
The whole idea here is to make a place where you can get LARGE tires in side the body. My wheel wells were cut by my brother to get a wide tire in otherwise I would be in the body. I used the mopar spring relocation kit so I could use the hemi leaf springs to replace the worn out ford springs, also hemi springs are setup for drag racing. If you want to use ladder bar, 4 link then the frame portion might be somewhat useful to you, but the tub setup will be great on how to make them.
