I need to replace the sector seal in a 59 Ford steering box.   Would someone happen to know the seal number?  It would be nice to have the seal before I start working on the box.   Out of curiosity, would that be the same seal for a 57 box?
Thanks in advance for any and all answers. Jay

Thank you very much Jim
I'm in the process of contacting C+G  and will get one for the 59 and one for the 57 box.   It also answers the question about if the two years are different.
It also saves me from going out and measuring each one.

Jim
I was surprised to see that the 57 and the 59 sector seals are different.   I ordered one of each and a cover gasket for the 59.
With my other commitment, hopefully I will  to be able to get started cleaning up the 59 box and getting the 59 steering column sanded so I can paint it the 57 gray to match my interior.
My 57 will not be coming apart for this swap until the summer season is fully finished.   It would be a shame to miss any of our very short summer season.  I have plenty of cars to drive but  enjoy the 57 mostly.  Once in a while, I have to step on it just to get rid of the stale gas in the carbs.        Jay  .
