This 57 Custom 300 came with an 223 six with three speed column shift. Even a radio delete dash. Very basic car. I have posted some body off pics in project build section. Repaint will be the same color. I've owned it five years, shooting for spring early summer to get her back on the Colorado roads.

Awesome car! I am interested in the Fatman dropped spindles...what springs and sway bar are you using?

And where is that gas station? Looks like maybe I've got another Colorado place to check out. Like I mentioned earlier, sure wasn't a car you'd figure was headed for a body off restoration.

The springs are the original six cylinder springs that came on car. It has the stock front sway bar for I-6 engine. It isn't very thick. Pictures show it with 1" blocks to drop the rear springs. I have just replaced the rear springs with a Art Morrison universal 4-bar with coil over suspension.

The gas station is actually a re-creation. It is the gift shop for the Ramber Ranch in Elizabeth Colorado. A guy has over 200 cars inside and hundreds more outside. Most are AMC, Nash and Kaisers. There are other brands scattered around, real passion - well it is called Rambler Ranch.

When I was fourteen years old, I was amazed at how unintelligent my father was. By the time I turned twenty-one, I was astounded at how much he had learned in the last seven years!

What is that white car in the 3rd pic? Looks like a Rambler.....sorta....maybe a prototype that never made production. Oddly enough, it looks like the Cadilac crest on the grille.
Yep, looks like I've got another place to check out. Not sure if I've ever even been to Elizabeth. That's up in the Breckenridge area if I remember correctly.

Here are some pictures of my 1974 Bronco which I bought new in 74.

I raced it in the stock class at some local off-road races in 75-76. This particular course was 7 miles per lap, 4 laps per race.

I drove it to my first day on the job at the firehouse, and as seen in the picture, I'm driving to my last day prior to retirement 41 years later.

My real love however, is the last picture of my favorite ride, a fire truck. I was driven home after my last shift.

Rich, Elizabeth is just east of Parker/Franktown. I want to go back and look, I didn't notice it while I was there, but I did while looking at the picture later. He does have some very rare cars in collection.

Just saw this posting, Les. What, they didn't drive you home after every shift? That was a really cool escort!

After three races in the street stock division with Bronco, I bought a VW powered, tubular framed racer. We had the Colorado Off Road Racing Association back then.  I think they folded shop around 1980. First picture has Cripple Creek CO in background. Other track was at Indian Springs race course.
