Rear view mirror upgrade

I would like to upgrade my rear view mirror to one that has the day/night option,Im sick of being blinded at night.
Anyone change theirs out?if so what did you use?

I haven't done it myself, but I've seen mirrors from '64 & '65 fairlanes and falcons used.

I found a '58 Edsel Day/ Night Mirror and have taken it apart and used the Ranchero " Mounting Stem". The Day night glass was bad, and someone, maybe here, told me to go to Pull-A-Part and buy a rear view mirror, take it apart and have it cut down to fit.  The Day Night Mirror glass is unique. Your local glass shop will more than likely not have this glass/mirror.The cost of the mirror was $6.00. The cost to cut it to fit was under $20.00.
If you go this route, let me known and I'll go over the details in making this modification.

'60 Thunderbird mirror fits the upper ball style mirror mount and is available.  They are in both '57s.

I used what was advertised as a 1964 ish Galaxie/fairlane NOS unit. but it seems mor likely to be a 1964ish Mercury Comet or so.
it fits bolt on with correct threads. great addition for daily driving with all those superbright modern headlights in the back !
