steering wheel adapter and old subject

Well I decided to try the Grant 4268 kit and I installed it yesterday. I does fit the shaft. The horn works. The turn signal cancelling cam works on the adapter so the turn signals work properly. BUT I have a '58 shaft that is solid, I have a '57 column and I have a '59 turn signal/horn ring switch. The cancelling cam is from a '59 steering wheel. The Grant horn contact arrangement is VERY Mickey Mouse but it does work with a little massaging.

That horn button is truly junk. Some folks put a button on the underside of the column to push with your knee.
