Anybody ever notice the extra 10 mph mark past the 120? I used to brag my Ford had a secret 130 mph speedo as a teenager! Lol...

I am just thinking out loud here, knowing that most speedo faces exceed the abilities of their cars, but would a factory  E or F code Custom be able to use up the speedo width and dig the pointer in the right corner? it seems possible. anybody been there done that? :003:

I came close one time in my old 57 back in 1969, but I wonder how accurate those old speedos were at that speed, probably not very much.

My only official clocking was by the CHP at 121 :005: in 1968 when I was testing my first set of radial tires. He was nice and only wrote the ticket for 85mph.

Canada did not use the Metric system in 57.  They used the Imperial system similar to us, but their gallon was 5 quarts instead of four.  They converted sometime after the mid 70's.
