The dash in my 70A is a gun metal gray color.  I've tried a bunch of different spray paint colors trying to match it. The closest I found so far is Ace Hardware's Machine Gray.  Has anyone been down this road before?

Wjhat I did is take the glove box door to a PPG automotive paint store and they have a machine that will match the color. My door garnish mlds. had the paint worn off and also painted my 64 Ford center console . The color matched perfect but it wasn't cheap.

When I did my interior pieces I looked through paint chip books at interior colors until I found one that was the closest, I was lucky it was almost perfect. It happened to be an '80 something Jeep. You don't need to limit yourself to interior colors though, as flattening agent can be added to exterior paint.

I've found that looking at PPG paint chips in their books tend to vary in color or hue in one book to another so that you don't always get the best match.Looking at the (www.y-blocks forever.com) someone asked about Argent Silver for the splash pan and was refered to--- http://www.clubfte.com/users/earl/ReferanceMaterial/ReferanceMaterial2.html -- which takes you to a listing for Ford exterior colors that's cross referanced to PPG color codes! I know these are exterior colors but there are several silver/grays listed with the PPG codes that may be what you need or close.By the way,the guys on this site really know there stuff on '57 Fords and all Y-Block engines so check them out, you never know what tidbits of info you might gain!
