Hi,
A fellow I know offered me some Y-block parts. A set of heads that have the letters & number ECZ- 6 and a 4bbl manifold with ECZ-8425-B.
Are these good parts for my Y-Block and if so what would be a fair price? I would like to install a mild cam & 4 bbl to give it a little help, currently has a 2 bbl 292 but have 312 lined up.

Many thanks in advance for any info.

I've never seen a head with that number. It maybe a ECZ-G ?  Those are the best heads and so is the -B manifold. Those all bring top dollar.

Sorry my mistake, the head numbers are ECZ-G.
What would this combination  have been on, 312,292, T-Bird or???
Thanks again.

I believe that combo would be only on 57 312 Tbird and 312 Ford and 58 Mercury.
The ECZ-G heads were on all 57 engines but 272-292 used a 2V manifold.

Those heads and manifold are the best factory pieces for sure. Be sure to use a 57 or newer distributor.

Use a small Holley carb, 390 to 550 cfm.  The stock 57 Holley is 410 cfm and the 57 Carter and Autolite are similar.

Those parts are worth at least 200-400$.

Use 57 up rocker arms too, they too are the best factory pieces.

There are intake gaskets that partly block the exhaust heat so the paint doesn't burn off the intake manifold.

Good luck,

Ron.
