I seem to remember some discussion on this subject a while back....
.......Is there a bushing replacement to make the vent window tight again?
Getting near ready to replace the old rubber on all windows but the vent window is very sloppy .. as in too loose.
Can someone direct me to that thread or an answer?
thanks guys.

Jeff...I have not seen a replacement bushing, nor remember having a discussion about it. If you have not disassembled the vent window yet, I'll bet what you are going to find is a broken top stud that goes inside that bushing you're asking about. Poor design, as it is necked down to a weak small diameter (less than 1/8"?) and easy to break. Not going to be any easy way to fix the problem. Maybe you'll be lucky and that won't be your problem.
I can do this, I can do this, I, well, maybe

And I should state... both cars have this problem.

I would suggest to see if you can save the broken one, measure it and maybe lathe one out of black nylon stock?

I was fortunate enough to have several donor cars.  I found two different styles of the top pivot pin (22952).  One was the mentioned reduced stem and another that was solid.  Most of the reduced stem ones were broken.  So, I only rebuilt the vent window assembles with the solid top pivot (hinge) pin.  If the 22950 piece was missing or too far gone, I fashioned new out of PCV flat stock.  I only rebuilt four vent window assemblies but they are all working quite well.

All hardtops (2&4dr), converts and retracts had a tension adjusting screw on each vent window but the post sedans did not. I haven't looked at the sedan pivots to see the difference but, it may be possible to adapt an adjustable bushing to them.

Good luck,

Ron.
