302/AOD - what speedo cable?

okay, I'm currently unable to try my original speedo cable in the car with the AOD. I was told it would be too short, anyone run into this problem? thanks

I used a cable from a 65 Ford F100 last time.  It is pretty long, and has a threaded connector at the speedo head, and a little more length..

I had a new cable made  [6'' longer], no sweat!

Spedo repair -gague repair . Not that uncomon in larger citys.
