HELP!!! Replacing windshield on a 1957 fairlane 500 2dr hardtop?!?

The glass I bought for my car seems to be the wrong kind...?
All I can think is maybe they sent me truck glass? There is at least a 1 inch gap overlay, and the sides don't seem deep enough.
I can't imagine it being the right glass...? It doesn't seem to fit flush w/o the gasket either.

The numbers on the glass were:

DW486CLN

and

2708-1 noucapo2jcw4068



The gasket seems to fit, so I don't know?!?
Please help!

   Maybe you have a windshield for a Custom/wagon or Ranchero. I think they were different.

hollander says the glass number for your window is #w486.how does it compare to the old one?maybe it got marked wrong.the glass number for the 300's is#w489.hope this helps
