89 AOD and 1970 428 CJ FE Engine

Does anyone know if a 1989 Ford AOD trans will bolt up to a 1970 428 CJ FE series engine?
My 63A currently has a 302 with an AOD trans, and in a month or two I will be swapping in a 428CJ.
As a temporary measure I was wondering if the 428 will bolt up to the AOD while I am prepping the 4 speed top loader I plan to eventaully install.

No, totally different engine families, different bolt patterns.  However, Lentech makes a cool adapter to mate the AOD to the FE.  To be honest, I'd rather have the FE with 4 speed than the AOD any day....Nice choice for the 63A, by the way...

I had pretty much guessed that it wouldn't work without an adapter of some sort.
I will just wait and install the 428CJ and top loader together.
